The marked-up contract

Findings in a list are useful. Findings on the page are better, because that is how you and the GC will read them. Redline lays every finding onto the contract itself, struck and replaced where the words are, and pinned beside the page where a clause is missing or needs adding.

Why it matters

The page you see is the page you send

  1. 1

    Click-through from every finding

In a review, clicking a finding scrolls the contract to it and highlights the words, so checking Redline's reading takes one look.
  2. 2

    Page numbers you can trust

Before a finding is shown, Redline finds its quote in the document and corrects the page number to where the words really are.
  3. 3

The same markup goes out the door

The marked-up PDF and the Word file in step 11 carry these exact changes.

How a redline reads

3.2 Payment to Subcontractor is contingent upon Contractor's receipt due within 30 days of a properly submitted invoice, regardless of Contractor's receipt of payment from Owner.
