Redline Construction Solutions

Chapter 1. Get set up · Step 1 of 15

Your company standards

A reviewer on your side of the table reads a contract against what your company will and won't accept. Redline does the same thing, so the first job is telling it who you are. You do this once, in Settings, and every contract after that is read against it.

What you set

Four things Redline learns about your company

  1. 1

    Your trade

Pick it at onboarding and every review starts with the clauses that trade gets burned by: slab moisture, floor prep and acclimation time for flooring, for example. All of it editable.
  2. 2

    Your positions

The payment terms you accept, the most retainage you'll carry, your warranty limit, whether pay-if-paid is a dealbreaker, how far indemnity can go, and an LD cap.
  3. 3

    The insurance you carry

Your actual limits. Redline compares every contract's requirements against them and shows the dollar gap, instead of telling you to go ask your broker.
  4. 4

    Your standing redlines

Language you always strike or replace. Teach it once (or click "Make it a rule" on any finding) and it applies to every contract from then on.

Trade knowledge

Twelve trades ship with their own watch list

FlooringElectricalPainting & CoatingsPlumbingHVAC / MechanicalDrywall & FramingConcreteRoofingLighting / Fixture RepMillwork / CaseworkLandscaping / SiteworkMoving / Logistics

Each trade is data, not a prompt: the watch items that trade gets burned by (for flooring, ten of them, from slab moisture to attic stock) and its usual product lines. A trade that isn't listed starts blank and works the same way. Adding a trade is one new entry, so the knowledge grows without anyone rewriting the engine.
